ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday introduced a Rs20 billion Ramadan relief package to support four million deserving families.
During the launch ceremony, the prime minister stated that approximately 20 million people would benefit from the package, which would be distributed within the first ten days of Ramadan.
The initiative provides Rs5,000 to each family through digital wallets. Expressing satisfaction, the prime minister noted that price hikes in 2025 were lower than in previous years during Ramadan.
“This year, Rs20 billion has been allocated for the initiative, compared to Rs7 billion last year,” he added.
