  1. The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has refuted claims suggesting that new currency notes will not be issued for Eid-ul-Fitr 2025.

In an official statement, the SBP clarified that commercial banks will maintain their customary practice of distributing fresh banknotes to the public via their extensive branch networks across the country.

During Ramadan 2025, the central bank has already supplied Rs 27 billion worth of new banknotes in various denominations to 17,000 commercial bank branches.

To ensure seamless distribution, the SBP has deployed cash monitoring teams, and banks’ ATMs will dispense clean and high-quality notes throughout the festive season.

The SBP has assured the public that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure easy access to new currency notes.
